Documents required to apply for an English visa
Individuals intending to visit the UK are advised to ensure that
they obtain the necessary UK visa and medical clearance in a
timely manner. Historically, there were multiple visas available
for those entering the UK for a limited period. However, these
have now been consolidated into two primary visas: the
International Agreement visa (Temporary Work) and the
Skilled Worker visa. It is imperative that applicants prepare
original copies of all the required documents. It is also
imperative that all accompanying documentation be
professionally translated into English by a certified translator
and attached to the original application.
The applicant must prepare such documents:
-Application (visa application form);
-A valid passport + copies of all pages (if you have an old one, on which you have already visited
England);
-Confirmation of appointment (Job Offers);
-Documents confirming the stated purpose of the trip (accommodation booking, letter of invitation
from your employer);
-Certificate of employment or other document(s) confirming employment and income;
In addition, copies of such additional documents as marriage certificate, birth certificate of children
(up to 18 years old), real estate, car, other documents confirming your residence in your country may
be required. The Consulate reserves the right to require any documents it deems necessary.
The British Embassy has strict requirements for all documents submitted. They must be translated
into English without errors. Therefore, the translation must be done by a certified translator and
signed/stamped.
Important: All documents must be authentic and contain only true information.
